Microdermabrasion with Sonophoresis Infusion Therapy
Microdermabrasion can also be performed in conjunction with a warm, relaxing infusion treatment known as Sonophoresis. This massaging process utilises ultrasonic (soundwave) technology to increase circulation and infuse selected treatment serums deeply into the skin, resulting in increased skin smoothness, firmness and hydration, and temporarily improving fine lines. Infusions are individually tailored to your skin type and condition.
What skin types are suitable for Microdermabrasion?
All skin types are suitable for Microdermabrasion Brisbane. At your initial consultation with Dermal Therapist Kirsten, Jenny or Nr Keren, your skin will assessed by our knowledgeable staff to tailor a treatment plan most appropriate for your skin type and concerns.
Is there any Downtime for Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion does not have any downtime. Your skin may feel tight and appear pink immediately after the skin treatment, however, this will subside within minutes to a couple of hours. You may also see some fine flaking of the skin over the next couple of days. These are all normal and are signs the treatment has been effective.
We will apply sunscreen, and a healing breathable foundation (Oxygenetix) can be used post treatment to cover any redness.
It is best to avoid swimming, exercise and sun exposure for 24hrs post treatment. We always recommend using a high quality sunscreen to wear at all times, and that you follow your professional skincare regime to maximise the benefits of your treatment.
